Specialized Meeting Commemorating Civil Defense Week Held at Iran Alumina Company
A specialized meeting commemorating Civil Defense Week was held with the presence of national, provincial, and city officials at Iran Alumina Company. Civil Defense was highlighted as an essential and perpetual subject, and emphasis was placed on strengthening infrastructure resilience and social stability as one of the company’s main and important priorities.
According to the Public Relations and Social Affairs of Iran Alumina Company: On the occasion of commemorating Civil Defense Week, on Monday, October 27, 2025 (5th of Aban 1404), a meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Malek, the esteemed Deputy of Industries and Mines of the Civil Defense Organization of the country; the esteemed Director General of Provincial Civil Defense of North Khorasan; the esteemed Friday Prayer Leader of Jajarm city; the esteemed Governor of Jajarm city; the esteemed Deputy CEO of Iran Alumina Company; a group of esteemed provincial and city managers; and deputies, managers, and employees of Iran Alumina Company.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Eng. Asadi, Deputy CEO and Acting CEO of Iran Alumina Company, welcomed the attendees and commemorated Civil Defense Week, presenting a report on the company’s performance, plans, and actions in various fields. Subsequently, Mr. Daneshmand, Secretary of the Civil Defense Committee of Iran Alumina Company, presented a report on the committee’s activities and achievements in enhancing the safety and resilience of the company’s infrastructures.
Furthermore, Hojat-ol-Islam val-Moslemin Houshmandnejad, the esteemed Friday Prayer Leader of Jajarm city, referring to the importance of civil defense in the country, stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved valuable accomplishments in the field of active and passive defense. He cited the victory of the Iranian nation in the 12-day war as a prime example, demonstrating the capability and intelligence of the Iranian nation.” He stressed: “Civil defense is a continuous and perpetual matter, and we must strive with effort and empathy to eliminate existing weaknesses and advance in all fields.”
In another part of the meeting, Mr. Avazzadeh, the Director General of Provincial Civil Defense of North Khorasan, while congratulating Civil Defense Week, emphasized the necessity of infrastructure resilience and social stability by referencing the year’s slogan in this domain, stating: “We must possess the necessary resilience against enemy threats and maintain the continuity of service delivery to the people under all circumstances.”
Then, Mr. Izadi, the esteemed Governor of Jajarm city, also welcomed the guests and congratulated Civil Defense Week. Referring to the role of empathy and unity between the people and officials in solving problems, he appreciated and thanked the support of the provincial officials and the efforts of the managers and employees of Iran Alumina Company. He also emphasized strengthening existing capacities, stating: “It is necessary to have a deep view and profound insight into the future and consider a long-term vision for implementing plans.”
In conclusion, Dr. Malek, the esteemed Deputy of Industries and Mines of the National Civil Defense Organization, appreciated the holding of this meeting and the activities carried out at Iran Alumina Company, stating: “The purpose of visiting this complex is to commend the diligent managers and employees of the company and to appreciate the efforts of the Civil Defense Committee.” He added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is a pioneer in the field of civil defense knowledge, and now more effective steps must be taken in executive and operational areas.”
It is worth mentioning that following the programs, a civil defense drill concerning a “truck collision with a minibus carrying mine workers” was held at the site of Iran Alumina Company, which included the presence of invitees and evaluation of the performance of the relief and safety forces. The ceremony concluded with the guests visiting the drill and commending the executive personnel.
