Inauguration of Imam Ali (AS) General Clinic at Iran Alumina Company and Visit to the Under-Construction Social Security Medical Complex with the Presence of the Governor of North Khorasan Province
The Imam Ali (AS) General Clinic of Iran Alumina Company was officially inaugurated today with the aim of improving healthcare services in Jajarm County. The ceremony took place at noon on Thursday, December 4 (13 Azar), with the presence of Mr. Bahman Nouri, Governor of North Khorasan Province, and Dr. Hamidreza Badkoubeh, CEO and Board Member of Iran Alumina Company.
According to the Public Relations and Social Affairs Department of Iran Alumina Company, the event was attended by Mr. Izadi, Governor of Jajarm, Hojjatoleslam Houshmand-Nejad, Friday Prayer Leader of Jajarm, as well as a number of provincial and local officials, deputies, and company managers.
In his remarks, the Governor expressed appreciation for Iran Alumina Company’s active role in implementing this important healthcare project, describing it as a valuable step toward enhancing medical services across North Khorasan Province.
During his visit to the under-construction Social Security Medical Complex, Governor Nouri emphasized that expanding healthcare infrastructure is one of the province’s top priorities. He noted that improving health services in smaller towns plays a key role in reducing treatment costs and increasing public satisfaction.
The Governor also called for the acceleration of construction on the Social Security project, urging local authorities and executive bodies to eliminate potential obstacles and facilitate its timely completion. He stated that once operational, this medical center will address healthcare needs not only for Jajarm’s residents but also for neighboring regions, improving access to specialized medical services.
Dr. Hamidreza Badkoubeh, CEO and Board Member of Iran Alumina Company, explained that the Imam Ali (AS) General Clinic was constructed and equipped with an investment of 250 billion rials (approximately 25 billion tomans) over a 600-square-meter area.
The first phase includes departments for cardiology, dentistry, general medicine, internal medicine, and physiotherapy, providing essential healthcare services to both company employees and local residents.
Dr. Badkoubeh emphasized that the clinic’s inauguration is aimed at reducing patients’ need to travel outside the county for medical care and enhancing local access to quality health services.
He added that the Social Security Medical Complex—part of the commitments made during the 14th Government’s provincial visit to North Khorasan—is being developed with the support and participation of Iran Alumina Company and is expected to be completed within 24 months.
At the conclusion of the visit, in recognition of Dr. Hamidreza Badkoubeh’s contributions to improving healthcare in Jajarm County, a certificate of appreciation was presented to him by the Governor of North Khorasan on behalf of the local medical staff.
