According to the Iran Economist report from Iran’s Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Modernization Organization (IMIDRO), four aluminum ingot producing companies in the country produced 171,691 tons of aluminum ingots from the beginning of April to the end of June.
Of this amount, “Salco” companies produced 74,100 tons, “Iralco” 47,319 tons, “Al-Mahdi” 40,724 tons, and “Iran Alumina” 9,548 tons.
11% increase in alumina powder production
According to this report, Iran Alumina Company produced 62,291 tons of alumina powder in the first quarter of this year, which is an 11% increase compared to the figure of the same period last year (55,974 tons).
Production of about 150 thousand tons of bauxite
Also, Iran Alumina Company produced nearly 149 thousand 982 tons of bauxite (primary material for producing alumina powder) in the first quarter of 1401.
According to Iran Economist, the Islamic Republic of Iran ranks 12th in aluminum production in the world with a production capacity of 800,000 tons.
